martyhorn asked: Back in the 70’s I believe we DID have a national speed limit. Those of you who don’t think driving 55 or 60 will save gas probably don’t know how to read. Any publication that discusses saving gas, such as Consumers Report or Popular Science and many other intelligent publications will inform you that these speeds DO save fuel. Unless, of course you don’t give a _ _ _ _ about our Country.

tigerrrrwoods asked: I’ve found myself constantly shifting my automatic car into neutral and just letting it coast whenever I can in order to save gas. Is this an effective technique or can I ruin my car that way?

Megan asked: Any experimental techniques to save on gas mileage that can be adopted to your existing car? Heard about conversion kits. Where can I learn more about them? Looking to ‘go green’ like the rest of America.

MackinawMilCreekCamp asked:
Our guests with large RV’s save hundreds of dollars on gas by leaving their campers in our Dollar per Day storage area (year-round) while they enjoy the many attractions in the Mackinac area. They can travel to and from the camp without driving or towing a large RV and the large the camping unit - the more the savings!

Dennis S asked: Not that I would do this, because it is not safe. But I was curious. What’s the distance at 60MPH? at 70MPH? Behind a truck? behind a van? behind a sedan? And how much gas would one save?
