thepinkpanther28 asked: I am very paranoid about having gas leaks. Recently, I was doing some cleaning and I smelled just the slightest gas odor when I put my nose about 5 centimeteres from the pilot light area of my gas water heater. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be able to smell anything at all. Since the pilot light is igniting the gas at that sight, would that be normal and should I be concerned? Thanks.

steady asked: I am running new wiring in my home and was wondering if my natural gas boiler and natural gas hot water heater need to be on separate circuits? Also should I put each bedroom on its own circuit? How many outlets should go on each circuit?

greenhouseparrot asked: The gas is currently shut off and I noticed that the water heater has little rust and a slight bit of water underneath it so I’m going to need to replace it no matter what.

KRISTYNUT asked: I just noticed water around the bottom of my gas water heater. It doesn’t seem like a lot, but it is as though it sprayed from some where. I had just finished cleaning the tub. Should I call my property management right now, or can it wait till the morning? Also, do you think it’s okay for me to take a shower?

Joanne M asked: A very old rental, got a notice from the Gas company indicating the gas meter is too close to the water heater. This is the original blueprint of the house (properly permitted when it was built). Do we have to relocate the water heater? Or are we grandfather out of the current coding requirement? Don’t anything about construction. need help.

pinksugarblue asked: The gas water heater is located approx. 10 feet away from the stove. Anybody know what a ball park figure might be to have the line plumbed?
